Our CPR training in Omaha can empower you to provide care to someone suffering a cardiac emergency – which can happen to anyone, at any age, at any time. And although that may sound unlikely, especially if you're young and healthy, cardiac emergencies are actually more common than you might think. In fact, cardiac arrest is at the root of over 300,000 deaths per year. Fortunately, our CPR classes not only cover when to use CPR, but how to deliver care to adults, infants, and children – which means that no matter who is suffering a cardiac emergency, you'll be well prepared to help. To find a Omaha CPR certification class in your area, check out our newest class schedule – and gain the knowledge and skills you need to save a life.
Whether you're a scout leader, part of a parenting group, or need to train your employees in delivering CPR, the Red Cross can help. We not only offer open-to-anyone CPR classes in Omaha, but deliver private group trainings as well. This way, you can learn alongside your peers, encourage each other throughout class, and act as a support system – reminding each other about using our refresher materials every three months, and testing each other on "what to do if…" as you pass each other in the hallway. Not only that, but it builds teamwork and trust, and helps ensure that everyone in your group knows how to provide care when it's needed most.
When you sign up for one of our Omaha CPR renewal courses, you can refresh your memory, renew your skills and learn new techniques. CPR renewal classes are abbreviated (when compared to our standard certification courses) and are designed for those whose credentials are still valid but near expiration. Once successfully completed, they will extend your certification by two years. For details on the CPR renewal training available in your area, check out our newest course schedule.
After completing one of our Omaha CPR classes, you'll gain full access to our online Refresher Center. Here, you can test your skills through interactive quizzes, games, learning activities, and videos – and stay ready to help at a moment's notice. One reason we offer this is because studies have shown that less than half of CPR course participants can pass a skills test one year after training. In order to mitigate skill loss, we recommend completing one refresher every three months. For more information, visit our Refresher Center.
