BLS Certification in Nebraska
In Nebraska, BLS certification classes are taught by local professionals, and include only proven, vetted procedures. All of our programs are based on the latest science, standards and regulations, and are overseen by the Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council – a panel of nationally recognized experts from scientific, medical, and academic disciplines. With the Council's guidance, we're able to ensure that our BLS trainings align with the latest evidence-based knowledge in science and medicine, and adhere to relevant industry guidelines.
In our BLS classes in Nebraska you'll learn basic life support for healthcare providers – which means that you'll learn how to provide care to patients during times of crisis. Our courses cover scene safety and assessment, CPR/AED use for adults, children and infants, obstructed airways, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and teamwork, the EMS system, legal considerations, and precautions. Best of all, at the end of the class, you'll hold a number of certifications and be well prepared to provide basic emergency medical care.
The Red Cross not only delivers BLS training in Nebraska in a traditional classroom setting, but we also offer courses via our blended Simulation Learning experience – which combines online coursework with an in-person skills session. This type of class might be more convenient for busy professionals who need the freedom to complete the classwork on their schedule, those who need to review information several times before it commits to memory, parents who need a flexible class schedule, etc. At the end of the online section, you'll simply need to schedule your in-person skills session to demonstrate your skills to a certified instructor. Upon successful completion of both portions of the class, you'll receive full BLS certification.
At the Red Cross, our BLS recertification courses are designed for those whose credentials are currently valid or within 30 days of expiring. Classes are abbreviated, and result in a two-year certification. All of our Nebraska BLS renewal classes are taught by industry experts who can help you learn the latest techniques for providing care, refresh your memory, and further your expertise in basic life support.
