AED Certification in Idaho
The Red Cross delivers AED training in Idaho in the way that suits you best. Whether you need daytime, evening or weekend classes, prefer in-person courses or learn best in an online environment, we've got you covered. We even offer blended Simulation Learning courses that seamlessly combine online coursework with an in-person skills session, which can help ensure that you understand the procedures described in class and gain the confidence needed to use them during a crisis.
Please note: Not all courses are available in every format, so check your local schedule for details.
In cases of sudden cardiac arrest, an automated external defibrillator (AED) is the only effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm. Unfortunately, the average response time for first responders once 911 is called is 8 to 12 minutes, and for each minute that defibrillation is delayed, the chance of survival is reduced by approximately 10 percent. This means that the person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest needs your help – now. And if you don't know how or when to use an AED, waiting for emergency responders could prove catastrophic. In order to help you provide care when it's needed most, we offer hundreds of AED classes in Idaho every year. Sign up and learn how you can help save a life.
For those who learn best by doing, we offer in-person and blended Simulation Learning courses. Both types of classes include important "lecture" materials delivered either in a traditional classroom setting or in an online environment. Once that portion of class is complete, all students (whether you're taking an in-person class or a Simulation Learning course) will work side-by-side next to an instructor and actually learn how to use an AED. You'll touch the machines, learn their intricacies, have your pad placement for adults, children and infants checked by your instructor, and complete the course with true hands-on training. Once both the lecture and the skills session has been successfully completed, you'll receive full, OSHA-compliant Idaho AED certification.
If having an OSHA-compliant certification isn't required for your job or a volunteer position, then gaining your AED certification online in Idaho is an option. Our online courses deliver the same lecture material and information as our other classes, but instead of using an in-person skills session to test your knowledge, you'll complete a series of interactive activities that will challenge your judgement and help you understand how and when to use an AED. Find details on all of our online AED classes, and sign up for your training in minutes.
After your AED training in Idaho is complete, your skills are useless if you don't know where the nearest AED is. So with your certification in hand take a moment the next time you're at work and track down your nearest AED (and show your co-workers where it's at, too) – because without a defibrillator, providing life-saving assistance to someone suffering from sudden cardiac arrest is impossible.
At the Red Cross we believe that learning knows no age restriction. That's why we offer AED training in Idaho, as well as a wide range of courses for everyone in your family. Through our unique learning opportunities, we can help you gain a new skill, further your career, and enjoy life just a little bit more.
