    We offer two learning formats to fit your needs:

    • In-person Lifeguarding Classes in San Diego: Ideal for those who prefer a traditional classroom setting with live instruction, demonstrations and opportunities to ask questions. Total course time is approximately 27 hours and 25 minutes.
    • Blended Learning Lifeguarding Classes in San Diego: Combine online coursework with in-person sessions. Total course time is 27.5 hours, approximately 21.5 hours in person and 6 hours online.

    For how long is a Red Cross Lifeguarding certification valid?

    Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding certification course will be issued a Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification valid for two years.
