Babysitting Training in Washington
In Washington, babysitting classes from the American Red Cross take just a few hours to complete. Available online and in person, our babysitting certification courses are taught by experts in the field and can help you learn how to be a compassionate, safe babysitter that parents will turn to again and again.
The American Red Cross offers three types of Washington babysitting classes. All courses, once successfully completed, will give you access to a printable certificate that you can use to show potential employers and grow your business. Designed for those ages 11 and older, our babysitter training courses take just a few short hours to complete, but can help make all the difference to the families you care for.
At the Red Cross we provide those ages 11 and older with a comprehensive education in babysitting and child care best practices. However, it's important to note that none of our babysitting classes in Washington are intended for state-licensed child care providers, as our courses do not meet all of the state requirements for such certification.
The Washington Babysitter Training course from the American Red Cross is designed those ages 11 to 15, and is delivered in a traditional classroom setting. With caring, compassionate, knowledgeable instructors who can help you understand the proper techniques for caring for infants and children, you can become a more capable, confident babysitter.
All of our Washington babysitting classes culminate with certification exams that allow you to prove your skills. Upon successful completion of the class – and the exam – you'll receive a certificate that you can print and show to potential employers, access online or via a QR code, which you can embed in your resume. All certificates are valid for two years.
In Washington, babysitter certification from the Red Cross is valid for two years. In order to maintain your credentials, certificate holders can enroll in one of our abbreviated recertification courses, which allows you to receive the latest information, update your skills, and renew your certification for an additional two years.
