Our Springfield AED classes can not only help you learn when to use an AED, but how to use one properly. After all, AEDs should only be used on a person who is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest – and recognizing the signs and symptoms associated with sudden cardiac arrest isn't always as cut and dry as you'd think. That's why our instructors take the time to address the all of the information you'll need in order to deliver the right type of care during times of crisis.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone – regardless of age, gender, health or fitness level – and an automated external defibrillator (AED) is the only effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm. However, if you rely on first responders to provide the shock of an AED, the person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest may die. That's because the average response time for first responders once 911 is called is 8 to 12 minutes, and for each minute that defibrillation is delayed, the chance of survival is reduced by approximately 10 percent. So, the sooner you can provide help, the better. In order to help you provide care when it's needed most, we offer a wide range of AED classes in Springfield, including online, in-person, and blended Simulation Learning courses, so it's easy to find a class that suits your schedule.
