The American Red Cross offers babysitting classes in Ohio that can help you develop the skills needed to take care of children when their parents can't be with them. Designed for those ages 11 and older, our babysitting classes will help you provide appropriate care for infants and children, choose suitable activities, handle certain types of behaviors, understand what to do in an emergency, and learn how to start your own babysitting business.

Among the Red Cross babysitting classes in Ohio is our Babysitting Basics course. Delivered exclusively online, this 4-hour course is designed for those ages 11 and older who are ready to become babysitters. Throughout the course you'll learn the basics of infant and child care, emergency procedures, choosing activities and other important information.

At the Red Cross we offer two online Ohio babysitter certification classes: Babysitting Basics, and Advanced Child Care. These courses are delivered entirely online and are designed to help you better care for the infants and children in your charge. These courses allow you to train at your own pace making it easy to become comfortable with the material in each section before moving on to the next.

After successfully completing your Red Cross babysitter training in Ohio, you'll receive a digital certificate that you can print up and place in your portfolio or access online at any time. In addition, your certificate will include a unique ID number and a QR code, which allows potential employers to confirm that your certificate is valid.

In Ohio, babysitter certification from the Red Cross is valid for two years. In order to maintain your credentials, certificate holders can enroll in one of our abbreviated recertification courses, which allows you to receive the latest information, update your skills, and renew your certification for an additional two years.
