BLS Certification in Georgia
American Red Cross BLS classes in Georgia can help you safely and effectively respond to medical emergencies in your community. By combining traditional coursework, like reading and lecture, with hands-on experience, our Basic Life Support training program provides you with the information and techniques necessary for providing the right level of care and improving patient outcomes.
At the Red Cross, we understand that everyone learns differently. That's why we've designed two versions of our Georgia BLS certification courses. Our in-person classes deliver information in a traditional classroom setting, offering plenty of time for questions and personalized attention during skills training. Meanwhile, our blended Simulation Learning gives you access online coursework that you can complete on your schedule, and the ability to prove your skills in-person to a certified trainer. Regardless of which type of training you choose, successful completion of the coursework and skills session will result in full certification.
Because your certification is only valid for two years, Georgia BLS training isn't a one-time process. The American Red Cross offers Georgia BLS classes designed specifically for those seeking recertification. These abbreviated courses can help you understand the latest science behind BLS care, and learn new protocols and best practices. Recertification and renewal courses are available at a wide range of convenient times and locations, and are open to anyone whose credentials are within 30 days of expiring.
In addition to offering BLS training in Georgia for healthcare providers and first responders, we also offer classes to help you become a certified Red Cross BLS instructor. Not only can this certification allow you to teach BLS classes to your own crews and/or teams, but it allows you to deliver training to others across the state.
Our Georgia BLS certification courses allow healthcare and public safety professionals to provide life-saving care to those in need. Our curriculum includes all of the standard scientific learning objectives necessary in professional resuscitation courses, but also encourages you to develop critical thinking and teamwork skills, and work on reflection and debriefing. All of our BLS courses for healthcare providers are modular and flexible, and can be tailored to suit your department's protocols.
All of our Georgia, BLS training classes are developed under the guidance of, and reviewed by, The Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council. This 50+ member panel is comprised of nationally-recognized medical, scientific, and academic experts who are dedicated to ensuring that all of our courses include the best science, and the best practices available.
