Babysitting Training in Georgia

The American Red Cross offers babysitting classes in Georgia that can help you develop the skills needed to take care of children when their parents can't be with them. Designed for those ages 11 and older, our babysitting classes will help you provide appropriate care for infants and children, choose suitable activities, handle certain types of behaviors, understand what to do in an emergency, and learn how to start your own babysitting business.

We offer two online Georgia babysitter certification classes: Babysitting Basics, and Advanced Child Care. These courses are delivered entirely online and are designed to help you better care for the infants and children in your charge. These courses allow you to train at your own pace making it easy to become comfortable with the material in each section before moving on to the next.

All of our Georgia babysitting classes culminate with certification exams that allow you to prove your skills. Upon successful completion of the class - and the exam - you'll receive a certificate that you can print and show to potential employers, access online or via a QR code, which you can embed in your resume.

In Georgia, babysitter certification from the Red Cross is valid for two years. In order to maintain your credentials, certificate holders can enroll in one of our abbreviated recertification courses, which allows you to receive the latest information, update your skills, and renew your certification for an additional two years.
