Babysitting Training in Colorado

Colorado babysitting classes from the American Red Cross can help you demonstrate your skills and grow your business. And with online and in-person classes available for those ages 11 and older, you can find the perfect way to train for the certification you need. Available courses include Babysitting Basics, Babysitter's Training, and Advanced Child Care. By progressing through each level you'll build a foundation of knowledge and can build on your skills as you build your business.

At the Red Cross we offer two online Colorado babysitter certification classes: Babysitting Basics, and Advanced Child Care. These courses are delivered entirely online and are designed to help you better care for the infants and children in your charge. These courses allow you to train at your own pace making it easy to become comfortable with the material in each section before moving on to the next.

All of our Colorado babysitting classes culminate with certification exams that allow you to prove your skills. Upon successful completion of the class – and the exam – you'll receive a certificate that you can print and show to potential employers, access online or via a QR code, which you can embed in your resume. All certificates are valid for two years.

In Colorado, babysitter certification from the Red Cross is valid for two years. In order to maintain your credentials, certificate holders can enroll in one of our abbreviated recertification courses, which allows you to receive the latest information, update your skills, and renew your certification for an additional two years.

At the Red Cross we provide those ages 11 and older with a comprehensive education in babysitting and child care best practices. However, it's important to note that none of our babysitting classes in Colorado are intended for state-licensed child care providers, as our courses do not meet all of the state requirements for such certification.
