AED Certification in Mobile
An automated external defibrillator (AED) can help you save the life of someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. And when you sign up for one of our Mobile AED certification courses, we can help you learn when, why and how to use an AED in just a few short hours. Find a class in your area, and be prepared to help when it's needed most.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone – regardless of age, gender, health or fitness level – and an automated external defibrillator (AED) is the only effective treatment for restoring a regular heart rhythm. However, if you rely on first responders to provide the shock of an AED, the person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest may die. That's because the average response time for first responders once 911 is called is 8 to 12 minutes, and for each minute that defibrillation is delayed, the chance of survival is reduced by approximately 10 percent. So, the sooner you can provide help, the better. In order to help you provide care when it's needed most, we offer a wide range of AED classes in Mobile, including online, in-person, and blended Simulation Learning courses, so it's easy to find a class that suits your schedule. Sign up and learn how to use an AED.
Because sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, at any time, knowing how to use an AED is critical. That's why we offer a wide range of Mobile AED training opportunities – including group training sessions for parenting groups, scout troops, sports teams/coaches, theater groups, restaurant employees, civic organizations, and more. Our patient, knowledgeable instructors can provide your group with personalized training to help them gain the skills and confidence needed to help during times of crisis.
For those who may not need OSHA-compliant certifications, the Red Cross offers AED online training in Mobile. These courses, which are delivered entirely online, give class participants access to the same science-based information as our other AED courses, but in lieu of hands-on skills sessions, they test your knowledge through interactive activities. Once you've successfully completed the class, you'll not only have the skills and knowledge necessary for using an AED, but a two-year certification to prove it. Find out more about our online AED classes by reviewing our newest course schedule.
After successfully completing one of our Mobile AED classes, your certification will be valid for two years. But rather than keeping a copy of your certificate on hand for your employer (or your own personal records), with Red Cross Digital Certificates you can simply give them a link or QR code that they can use to access your credentials. It's fast, simple, and paperless – and it's free. What could be better?
