CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is a lifesaving procedure that is performed after someone suffers sudden cardiac arrest, which is different from a heart attack. It includes a combination of rescue breathing and chest compressions, which serve to deliver oxygen to a person's lungs and help circulate the blood. It is a vital skill, but one that can be used inappropriately. In our New Mexico CPR classes, our instructors will help you learn not only how to perform CPR properly, but when and why to use it.
