Learning how to use an AED properly can mean all the difference to someone in need. That's one of the many reasons we make taking AED classes in Iowa simple. With in-person, online, and blended Simulation Learning courses that combine online class work with an in-person skills session, you can learn how to use an AED when, and how, it suits you best. Check out the classes available, and earn your Iowa AED certification.
For those who learn best by doing, we offer in-person and blended Simulation Learning courses. Both types of classes include important "lecture" materials delivered either in a traditional classroom setting or in an online environment. Once that portion of class is complete, all students (whether you're taking an in-person class or a Simulation Learning course) will work side-by-side next to an instructor and actually learn how to use an AED. You'll touch the machines, learn their intricacies, have your pad placement for adults, children and infants checked by your instructor, and complete the course with true hands-on training. Once both the lecture and the skills session has been successfully completed, you'll receive full, OSHA-compliant Iowa AED certification.
After receiving your Iowa AED certification, it's important to maintain your skills. After all, like anything, if you don't use them regularly, they're easy to forget. That's why we've created the Red Cross Refresher Center. By using our quick, interactive activities you can test your knowledge online anytime, and maintain your skills so you'll be ready to help when and where it's needed most.
Note: All of our refresher materials are free to use.
